Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle method of improving health and function. It was developed by an osteopathic physician named John Upledger between the years of 1975 and 1983. It is a “hands on” method of evaluating and enhancing the craniosacral system which is comprised of the membranes and the cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Practitioners use a soft touch, usually no greater than 5 grams (the weight of a nickel) to release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functions of the centeral nervous system.
